Room 306, Thursday Evening

Like everyone else, Amy was having a hard time focusing this week. So when she got back from work, her first move was to grab a cold shower that lasted a decent amount longer than she had imagined needing. It didn't help that the faces and bodies of certain people she had met here in Fandom kept swimming into her head, interrupting the stream of Karma-Karma-Karma with a mental broadcast that was a little bit more... confusing.

So when she got back to her room, she changed into shorts and a tank top and flopped on her bed. Maybe some light studying for her Geometry class would help her calm down.

...Then again, maybe she'd start developing a weird attraction to figures and angles.

"It's cute," Carmilla said. She liked it when girls got flustered around her. It was freaking adorable.

"So how'd you find out you were allergic to it?" she had to ask. "And if it's calming, it can't be working right."

[princessarcasm]

"Peanut oil," Amy explained. "Been allergic since I was a baby. Which is really awkward, because I was dating this girl who loved peanut butter and she couldn't have it for the whole ten years we were friends. Um, are friends. But I guess she can have it now."

That was sad in its own way, though.

"And yeah, I know what you mean. I mean, I haven't been feeling all that calm lately. Especially around you." She swallowed. "In a good way, though."

Carmilla twisted her body toward Amy, grinning as she leaned closer to her. "Are you sure that's not just the pollen talking, cupcake?" she asked. "That would be so disappointing."

Amy took a cue and scooted closer, because that seemed to be what they were doing and she was totally good with that.

By the time their knees were touching, she had enough confidence to murmur, "I'm doing this thing where I'm getting better at figuring out what I want."

"So what do you want?" Carmilla said. "Figured it out yet?"

She moved one hand to Amy's shoulder and let it slowly drift down her arm, fingertips just barely grazing her skin.

The sudden touch sparked an electric feeling in Amy's skin, and she didn't think it was just the pollen.

She decided to answer the question tactfully and succinctly, by turning her head and leaning in for a kiss.

Carmilla's hand slipped back up Amy's arm until it came to rest, gently cradling the back of her neck. She leaned in and met Amy's lips with her own, slow and soft to start.
